Corrinne Kalafut, PsyD

Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Corrinne Kalafut is a compassionate and highly experienced licensed psychologist, specializing in evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She works with children, adolescents, and adults to address a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, executive functioning challenges, behavioral disorders, phobias, neurodevelopmental disorders, and family dynamics. Her holistic, collaborative approach empowers clients to gain emotional resilience, develop coping skills, and achieve personal goals.

Dr. Kalafut graduated Magna Cum Laude from Seton Hall University, with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She furthered her academic career at Seton Hall, obtaining both her Master of Arts in Psychological Studies and an Educational Specialist Degree in School and Community Psychology. During her 15 years as a certified school psychologist, she conducted psychoeducational evaluations, developed individualized education plans (IEPs), and worked closely with school professionals to support students’ academic, emotional, and social success. Her extensive background in the educational system provides her with a unique understanding of developmental and behavioral challenges, enhancing her ability to assess and treat a broad range of issues in her private practice.​​

​In 2012, Dr. Kalafut earned her Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University and is licensed to practice in New Jersey. Before establishing her private practice, she worked at the Morris Psychological Group, where she refined her clinical skills in treating various psychological conditions.

Dr. Kalafut is an active member of the New Jersey Psychological Association and the Morris County Psychological Association. Recognized for her dedication to providing exceptional care, she was honored as a New Jersey Favorite Kids’ Doc in 2022, 2023, and 2024.

With a commitment to fostering personal growth and emotional well-being, Dr. Kalafut believes in a collaborative treatment model that may involve partnering with other professionals—such as psychiatrists, general practitioners, and educators—to provide a comprehensive and individualized plan for each patient. Additionally, she has conducted training for educational staff on identifying and managing risks related to self-harm and assault in school settings, further enhancing her expertise in preventive care and crisis intervention.
