Independent Educational Evaluations
An Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE) is an assessment conducted by a qualified professional who is not employed by the school district responsible for the child’s education. Typically, it is requested by parents who seek an outside opinion after a school has conducted its own evaluation, especially if additional information is needed to determine the most appropriate program or services.

The purpose of an IEE is to provide an objective and comprehensive evaluation of the child’s learning abilities, strengths, and challenges. It can include testing for cognitive functioning, academic achievement, and emotional and behavioral assessments depending on the student's profile.
Dr. Kalafut collaborates with parents and schools to offer in-depth recommendations for educational interventions, accommodations, or modifications. An IEE can validate or supplement the school's findings, ensuring the child receives the most suitable support and services for their success in school.
