A psychoeducational evaluation is a comprehensive assessment designed to understand a student’s cognitive, academic, and emotional functioning. Its primary purpose is to identify learning strengths and challenges, helping to diagnose conditions such as learning disabilities, ADHD, or emotional difficulties that may impact academic performance. These evaluations provide detailed insights that guide personalized educational plans, such as Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or 504 Plans, which help students receive accommodations like extended time on tests or specialized instruction.  They also help to identify learning issues early, which allows for timely interventions that can prevent long-term academic struggles and help the student develop strategies to succeed.
